Frequently Asked Questions

How do I add captions to my video?
Import or record a video, then tap Generate Captions. Easy Caption uses on-device and cloud recognition to transcribe your audio automatically. You can then edit each caption, change the font and style, and position them anywhere on screen.
What's included in Easy Caption Pro?
Pro unlocks watermark-free exports, unlimited caption themes, audio library access, longer video imports (up to 10 minutes), 50+ language translation, and priority processing. Plans are available weekly (with a free trial) or monthly.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Go to iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions, find Easy Caption, and tap Cancel. Your Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period.
Can I use my own fonts?
Yes! Pro users can import custom fonts in the Theme Builder. Tap the font selector in the caption editor, scroll to the bottom, and choose Import Font to add any .ttf or .otf file from your device.
Why is my video export taking a long time?
Export time depends on video length, resolution, and the number of caption layers. Keep the app in the foreground during export. Longer videos or 4K content may take several minutes.
My captions are out of sync — how do I fix this?
Tap any caption in the timeline and use the timestamp handles to shift its start and end time. You can also use the Sync All option in the captions menu to re-run audio alignment on the full transcript.
Does Easy Caption work offline?
Basic editing, theme changes, and export work fully offline. Caption generation and translation require an internet connection since they use cloud recognition and translation services.
How do I share my draft with someone else?
Drafts are stored locally on your device. Export the finished video and share it via AirDrop, Messages, or any other app. Cloud sync between devices is not currently supported.
